I have an Azure AI Search service deployed in a corporate environment, and I want to access it from Copilot Studio. In the Search service, I’ve configured an allowed IP list, but I don’t know how to obtain the IP address used by the Copilot Studio agent.

I tried looking into service tag public IPs, but I’m not sure how to identify the correct one.

Microsoft Copilot Studio runs on the multi-tenant Power Platform infrastructure, meaning it uses dynamic, region-based Azure services with no dedicated outbound IP address, and Microsoft does not publish a Copilot-specific IP list. Because outbound traffic originates from shared Azure infrastructure where IPs change over time, you cannot reliably whitelist a single IP. Additionally, Azure AI Search private-endpoint–only (VNet-only) indexes are not supported for direct Copilot connections.
The officially supported approach is to use a public Azure AI Search endpoint secured with access keys or Entra ID authentication. If stricter network control is required, organizations should implement a secure intermediary (such as an Azure Function or API layer) that Copilot calls publicly, which then connects privately to Azure AI Search. Fixed IP whitelisting for Copilot Studio is not supported.
