Remove Timestamp from Date Function

Hello,

I am trying to remove the timestamp that is being generated on my date function. No matter what I do, I can't seem to remove the 12:00:00am, and I don't want it displaying in on the gallery list.

The DateValue4s format is set to shortdate only.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong here?

Provide a screenshot showing where the date is incorrect in the form

I still have not been able to fix the date-stamp issue.

The reason why I am using a live excel document versus a sharepoint list, is because I have not figured out a way to export the sharepoint data in a way that it can be customized to our customers needs. At least if I am using an excel file, I can filter the table data to my relevant needs, and put in any "additional" data on the spreadsheet and export as a PDF to send to our customers.

I am not sure of any circumstance where Excel is better than SharePoint, particularly with the way Excel stores dates, however I really do not understand your question if the response I provided earlier does not address it - also note that Power Apps also sees dates as date/time with 0:00 if a time is not specified.

I realized I totally misled everyone!

The date I am talking about is not in a gallery...it is being displayed in a form! Which I am using along with an excel file...not a sharepoint list. This way I can easily filter the table data and export as I need it.

That is because all SharePoint date columns are actually date and time - if you update them with a Date Picker only it sets the time at 0:00, whereas if you use a date/time combo, you will also set the desired time. If you want to display just the Date in your gallery what you have at the moment (DateTimeValue.ShortDate) will do the job. You can also set the Format property of your Date Picker to whatever you specifically want - I use "dddd, d mmmm yyyy" regularly when I want the full display of weekday and month.

In the gallery you can select the date in the first row which represents the gallery template and change the date to something like

    Text(ThisItem.'Upload Date', DateTimeFormat.ShortDate)
