Help needed - Awards automation

Hi All,

Struggling a bit with building a flow and could use some advice on how to build the below using Automate.

Nomination Form: Team members complete a nomination form

Eligibility Check: Only those who have nominated someone are eligible for nomination themselves. The flow should disregard nominations from those who haven’t nominated anyone

Shortlisting: The reduced list of eligible nominees is then sent to a group of people for shortlisting.

Points System: Assign points based on the votes: 3 points for 1st place, 2 points for 2nd place, and 1 point for 3rd place.

Top 10 Shortlist: The top 10 nominees based on points are shortlisted.

    • I would use a Microsoft Forms form for the nominations.
    • The workflow can trigger when a forms response is submitted, and it can then get the response details.
    • You can then query the Excel spreadsheet that stores the responses to check your eligibility requirements. You will need to be sure that you set up the form so that it records the name of the person who submits the request.
    • You can then build logic into your workflow to reject the submission if it doesn't meet your requirements and send them an e-mail with the reason why and what they need to do. If the nomination passes the requirements, you can proceed as needed.
That's as far as I can get you, as I don't understand the rest of your requirements without additional details but maybe someone else will have an idea. It seems like an awards committee would go through the nominations and do what you suggest through automation.
