QR Code Scanning on Windows PC

Greetings,

 

I have a lot of co-workers that use Microsoft Surface Books with a Power App that I built to scan QR codes that we have placed on our equipment throughout the facility. Is there any way that I can get my PowerApps to read QR codes on a Microsoft Tablet while using my PowerApp? We have considered purchasing an external scanner and didn't know if anyone had any luck getting one to work with Windows 10.

    Windows based apps will not be able to use the scanner in the same way as a mobile device (unfortunately).  

    If you get an external scanner, the best it will do is provide typed information.  In other words, if you have a TextInput control, a person can use the external scanner to fill in that box with the information scanned.
