Element with Selector not Found

Hi,

I have a working flow with various "Click link on web page" parts to it all created using the recorder. I'm trying to create an almost identical flow from new and noticed some of the same UI element I have previously recorded are now giving me issues with "Element Selector not found"

On my old working flow I don't have the option of editing the selectors for the UI element I recorded - but works fine and loops through a set of data no issues.

Same UI element recorded today I can edit selectors - But noticed it seems to be referring to a specific ID and title / span. Flow works for the one I created it with but when I loop through other data it errors (recorded the same element on different projects within system and the ID is changing so presumably it is that causing my issue)

I never had this issue previously when recording, and as above thinking I need to edit the selectors so it isn't looking for a specific ID but unsure how to do this, any help appreciated..

Simply delete the Id parameter and include a different parameter, such as the ordinal parameter. I can see that your original selector says tr:eq(1) which indicates you recorded a 2nd row (because indexes are 0-based) in the table. You can do the same here, if you always intend to use the 2nd row, or pass an index variable there, if you intend to process several rows.

Its a web based system I'm recording from - The field I'm recording is the same each time but depending what I've searched for in the step before (from an excel table) then it's giving me a different ID number for the UI element, I'm only clicking it once though in both examples. There are several rows in my excel data though so it will need to cope with several different changing ID's

Sorry if stupid question but can you give me an example of an index variable to use and do you mean unticking ID and ticking ordinal ?

Yes, I do mean unticking Id and ticking Ordinal.
If you intend to loop through a list of items and populate the values in this web page, a Loop action will automatically generate a %LoopIndex% variable for you. If you're using a For each loop, you can use Set variable to create an index variable and then have an Increase variable action at the end of your loop that would increment the variable on each iteration.
You can then use this index variable in the selector when you enable the Ordinal parameter. See here for more details on how to do that: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/desktop-flows/build-custom-selectors
Please note that for a variable to work in a selector properly, you will need to switch to the Text editor:

Variables do not work in the visual editor.
