How to get my PCF to show for my table when adding controls

This may be a stupid question, but I have been developing PCF controls, packaging them into a solution and then importing them into PowerApps. I have only ever used them in canvas apps, where the entire list appear as code components.

Now I am reading about using PCF controls in model driven apps but none of my components appear when I click the 'Add Control...' link in the Entity editor.

Is that because my components need to be in the solution where my tables are? If so, how do I import my components into that solution?

    Hi @camer314,

The steps to add them to a table or column are documented here. Controls for a dataset are added at the table level, where controls for a specific column are added via a form. The PCF will only show up if the data types in the PCF manifest matches with the column type in Dataverse.

Thanks @ChrisPiasecki  but as I say, my controls do not appear in the list to select. I have my table in one solution and my controls are imported as their own solution. Do my controls need to be in the same solution as my table and if so how can I merge them all into the one solution?

    Hi @camer314,

No they do not need to be in the same solution.

Can you also verify in your manifest if your field is set to usage="bound"? It will show up for the first field type that has this.

Here is good blog post that lists other reasons why your PFC may not show up.
