Hello Everyone,
Is it possible to make the teams chat bot to reach out a list to predefined users and initiate a conversation instead a user reaching out to it and trigger a conversation? Is a flow required for this?
Hi @Yuv2 ,
Today, unfortunately, it's not possible yet.
Raise your idea here: https://aka.ms/pva/community/ideas
If you send a message to the user by the system, you can use Scheduled cloud flows (Power Automate) + Adaptive Cards + Microsoft teams.
Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions about this integration.
Thanks I am new to the bot world, I will definitely raise my idea.
However, is there an alternative approach to reach to a varying group of individuals as a reminder service every week by triggering the bot from my teams chat?
@Yuv2 depending on the scenario, the work around may work for you:1. Create a Power Automate workflow that sends a message to user in Teams via Flow bot regularly
2. The Flow bot will send a card and one of the button on the card can be 'chat with bot to get more info'. The button essentially is a link to install the PVA bot. (you can get the bot link from PVA's Configure -> Channel -> Microsoft Teams -> Copy link)
3. This way end user receive the card can click on the button which will prompt them to chat with the bot for more info.
thanks, any reference links that I could help?
Hello @Yuv2
As this is a workaround. There won’t be any documentation on this.
What part did you need help with? Which part of @micchow ‘s solution did you need help with?
