I have created an agent that perform search operation on Tavily. I have added Rest API tool and provided all the details for Tavily setup. After the setup is done , I need to start the cinnection for Tavily and after that It was working in my environment. However when I share this agent with my team member, called my agent, but he is not able to create the Tavily connection at his end. He is not able to see the Tavily connection. Since I am new to copilot studio, i want to know if this is normal. What should i do to run this agent at his environemnt.
He is able to see the agent, he is able to see the tool (Tavily search tool that I have added), but he is not able to make the connection or start the connection. In the screenshot shows the connection that my colleague want to make at his end.
Why Your Colleague Can’t See or Create the Tavily Connection Connections Are User-Specific:
In Copilot Studio, connections to external services (like Tavily) are typically created and managed per user. When you set up the connection, it’s only available to you unless you share it or configure it as an environment-level connection. Environment-Level Connections:
For others to use the agent and its tools, the connection must be set up as an environment-level connection, or each user must create their own connection.
What To Do Environment Admin Setup (Recommended):
Ask your Power Platform environment admin to create the Tavily connection as an environment-level connection.
Once set, all users in the environment can use the connection without needing to create their own. User Creates Own Connection:
If environment-level is not possible, your colleague must create their own Tavily connection.
They should go to the agent/tool setup, click “Create connection,” and provide the required credentials/API key. Share Connection Details:
Provide your colleague with the necessary setup instructions and any API keys or credentials (if allowed).
