    It's a generic fallback error in Microsoft Copilot Studio. It means the agent encountered an internal failure it couldn’t classify more specifically. Common causes include:
    • Misconfigured or overlapping topic triggers (often the problem for this message)
    • Broken Power Automate flows or connectors (do yiu use this in your agent?)
    • Exceeding platform limits (too many topics, large payloads)
    • Preview features like dynamic orchestration causing instability (often happened for mw when using Computer Use in topics)
    • Licensing, permissions, or environment misconfigurations
    • Session corruption (especially in Microsoft Teams)
     
    Have you reviewed the Analytics Tab and the Activity Tab to see if you can find something there?
    If you use flows, check also the flow run history.

    Thanks for the response. I only have a few seconds when opening the agent before it goes to a white screen displaying this message:
    There was an error loading your agent.

    So even if I click in the Analytics Tab, I don't have time to consult the results. I also tried to delete the agent and rebuild it but I receive a message this message: .

    Hi,

    The “SystemError” message in Copilot Studio usually indicates a channel/runtime issue rather than a problem in your bot logic.

    Based on Microsoft guidance, this error can occur when the service is unable to return a response to the client, even though the bot may have processed the request successfully.

    A few things you can check:

    1. Validate in Copilot Studio test panel
      Test the same scenario in the Copilot Studio test chat.
      If it works there, the issue is likely channel-specific (e.g., Teams, M365) and not your agent.

    2. Check Activity logs
      Go to Copilot Studio → Activity → Session details
      If you see a proper response generated, it confirms the issue is in response delivery, not processing.

    3. Review recent changes
      If you recently updated:

    • Topics

    • Tools / flows

    • Authentication / connectors

    Try republishing the agent (optionally with “Force newer version for persistent channels”).

    1. Check connectors and permissions
      Even if they show “connected”, re-authenticate critical connectors (SharePoint, Dataverse, etc.), as expired tokens can sometimes cause runtime failures.

    2. Known behavior
      Microsoft documentation notes that generic SystemError messages can occur due to transient service or channel issues, especially in persistent channels like Teams.

    3. When to escalate
      If:

    • The issue persists across sessions

    • Same Conversation ID keeps failing

    • And logs show correct responses

    Then it may require Microsoft support, as it can be a backend/channel issue.
