Automate clicking yes for elevated privilege's prompts

Hello,

Currently I am automating a sequence through windows settings and at multiple points access the "properties" window of an ethernet adapter, which throws a prompt for admin privilege's ("Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device": yes/no). I am running WPAD in elevated mode so I am able to access the following windows with my actions but it still requires me to manually click yes to the prompt every time before continuing. Is there a way to automate this?

@BMirabito Could you please share a screenshot, of what you are trying to achieve? or else would you mind trying below:

I would recommend you to use SendKeys{TAB}, try counting number of tabs it takes to reach to {desired button on the popup}. Once the control is on that link/button use SendKeys{ENTER}

I have tried sending keys and unfortunately that hasn't worked. It seems to pause the flow when the prompt happens and then the keys I tried to send are registered after user response. I have attached an example picture I found online of the UAC prompt (not the same program as my use-case) and then the actual use-case location of what I need to run.

@BMirabito Could you please try below and let me know

Create a shortcut for target C:\Windows\System32\runas.exe /user:domain\username C:\Windows\System32\mmc.exe, then TypeInto the password to the console that will pop-up(possible Yes confirmation needed in between)
Click Text without selector(or generate key strokes hoping that they would reach that pop-up/box)

The first idea prompts a yes confirmation, the second does not work (same flow paused situation) and I do not want to disable the UAC prompts in an external manner.

I just want to know if it is possible using PAD.

@BMirabito I believe it is not possible to click UAC dialog by PAD for security reason. However, if you try send keys for this "The first idea prompts a yes confirmation" and make it work.

No what I meant was that idea just prompts another UAC dialog box so there is no difference to the original problem as I cant send keys to it.

Sounds like it can't be done then and needs user input during the process ok.

You could try modifying an external manifest for powerautomate.exe to include uiAccess="true" and ensure its installed under C:\Program Files
