Copilot can't recognize new knowledge/information

We have developed a bot and established a knowledge base on our website to facilitate access to information. Currently, we are in the process of updating our knowledge base with new information, including tax details for 2023, to complement existing content such as tax information for 2021. However, we have encountered a challenge: when inquiries are made, the bot exclusively references the information from 2021, overlooking the newly added data for 2023. We are seeking suggestions on how to ensure the bot accurately retrieves and provides the most current information from our knowledge base.

Even after publishing the bot, the answers are from old information. @shankarlalu

In sometimes, changes to the knowledge base don't take effect until after a republishing process. This action makes the updates available to the bot.

Thanks for your prompt response. Could you please provide more specific examples and guidance on how to implement the URL structure recommendation?

Re: Copilot can't recognize new knowledge/information

It is appropriate, it's just important to keep in mind Bing works as the underlying search mechanism here, and if for some reason older pages seem more relevant to Bing, the copilot will generate responses based on older pages.

Currently the only way to guarantee newer content is prioritized, is to make sure there is a specific URL structure for content that is up to date. For example, http://www.mywebsite.com/2024/

Yes, it is a public website. Do you think using a public website as a knowledge base (KB) is appropriate? Or do we need to connect to other KBs like Salesforce, other databases, or SharePoint? I believe our website is indexed, and we check to ensure that almost all new information has been indexed.

Is it a public website indexed by Bing? Is that how you have Generative Answers set up?
