I cannot get my flow to run properly.

I am trying to create an item in list-->populate a MS Word Template-->create file in SharePoint-->convert Word Document to PDF--> save to SharePoint.

My flow works until the PDF step. I am trying to use dynamic content in the word template, and save that word template as a PDF. (Error: Action 'Convert_Word_Document_to_PDF' failed Error Details: The selected file doesn't exist, please select a valid file and drive.)

I have attached a photo to my flow. Please help, i have tried every option for the file path.

    Hi @Anonymous

Try adding a delay between the "Create File" action and the "Convert Word Document to PDF".

Let me know if that helps.

@AnthonyAmador I am still getting an error "The selected file doesn't exist, please select a valid file and drive" after adding the delay. I have attached another image of my flow. I appreciate your help 🙂 capture115.PNG

Your word document needs to be in OneDrive, not SharePoint.

    Hi @Paulie78 ,

That is not true, the fill in word template and convert word to pdf actions work with files in both OneDrive and SharePoint.

I've used those actions in a flow some time ago and I remember getting the same error. The solution was really simple. I'll look up my flow later and come back to this topic if someone else hasn't already offered the solution by then.

@OliverR-82 Thanks so much! I am trying to stay in SharePoint if possible. I have been working on this flow for days and cannot figure out this error. Any help you can provide is appreciated.

    Hi @Anonymous

I think the action should look like this.

In the file input, add the name of the file not the path.

Let me know if that works.

    Kind regards.

Thank you @AnthonyAmador!  I spent hours on chatGPT trying to resolve this before coming across your post.  I am eternally grateful.
