Option set values use in a flow

Hi !

I've got an issue with my option set values and I need your help.

I have a dropdown with 3 option set values. In theory, when a user choose one and validate, a flow update my form with the value.

I found on this forum that I have to use the numeric value of my option set if I want this to work.

When I tested with the numeric value in a text field, everything goes fine.

But now I want to dynamicaly change the numeric value when my user change the text value and I didn't find a propoer way to do that.

What is the better way to do this ? Do I have to define my values in the flow or in my app ?

Thank you for your support,

Best Regards,

Alex

I update the message, I find a response to my issue on this blog :

    https://debajmecrm.com/how-to-get-the-value-not-text-of-a-selected-option-for-a-cds-option-set-in-canvas-app/

    It's working perfectly fine !

Now, I've got a second issue with a multiple values Option Set and the solution above doesn't work with multiple values 😞

Can you help me with this ?

    Thank you !

    Best Regards,

    Alex

    Hi @alex69570,

I used the following article to help me with updating "Choices" or multi-option set values from a flow.

    https://www.endeavour365.ca/use-flow-to-update-a-multi-select-option-set/

Hope this helps, worked in my case...

    Thanks,

    Hi @dpoggemann

Thank you for your response and for the link.

Unfortunatly when I tried the procedure he describe but with a power apps source instead of Dynamics, the flow return only the last value from the multi option set. I think I must first get the values in my app separated by comma in a text field before using the flow in the link you sent me. I just don't know how ...

Thanks again, this link will be a great help for the return values in Dynamics.

    Best,

    Alex

    Hi @dpoggemann

I use Concat() in my powerapps call and I've got all the values in my flow.

    Thank you for your support,

    Best,

    Alex
