Stability of a Power Automate Desktop flow in Un-attended setup(in VM's)

Hello Everyone,

The Brief:

We have few processes running on UiPath as attended bots, got a requirement for migrating those to Power Automate.

All the processes are complex, which includes UI automations, pdf extractions, excel manipulations, invoking python and VBA scripts.

For few of the processes the web applications do not have api capabilities and we should program it as surface automation.

Questions

1. If we run desktop flows( which includes surface automations) inside VM's as un-attended (cloud flows triggering a desktop flow), how stable/feasible power automate is?, because we have seen UI element identification errors in UiPath few years before when we used to run the bot inside VM's.

2. If we only use Power Automate desktop, is this a better option than running surface automation inside VM's?

Expecting honest feedbacks and opinions....

Thank you.

Do you have insights for this? Did you figure out if surface automation is stable enough in powerapps?

    Hi,

    Nope, it's not image based.

    Hi @GouthamV

To confirm, does surface automation meant image automation ?
