SubmitForm creates blank record in dataverse table

Hello,
in my app I have a form (modern control) that is connected to a dataverse table. This form is set to New mode to create new records and I use SubmitForm function on select of a button to submit it.
Whenever I click on that button the form is successfully submitted, but the record in the table is completely blank. I already checked the Update properties of the datacards and they're alright, so I have no clue what I'm missing.

Does someone here has an idea what else I could check?  I can provide additional infos to my app of course, I just don't know where to start.

    Hi,

Please share pictures of your Code for submitting

Please share pictures of a Form filled out, in NEW mode, and the code for your Submitting.

It thinks the form is blank, so I also want to see the Source setting for the form, the item, etc etc.

    Thanks

    Hi,
of course. The first ones show the filled out form (the signature field is a popup and only after signing it gets submitted).

OnSelect of the submit button looks like this (checking if there's a signature in the pen input control and if yes submitting the form and making the popup invisible):

The OnSuccess property of the form (gets executed, so the form "thinks" everything went right). I just realised, that I'm updating the variable for showing the popup twice, but that doesn't seem to be the problem, since deleting it in one property doesn't do a difference.

I tried using a patch function insted of SubmitForm and that works perfectly fine, but I'd still like to know what causes the problem, in case it will happen again in the future.

    Hi LisKr

In addition to the Update property, I'd also check the "DataField" property to make sure that's been set correctly.

    Hi timl,
thanks for the input. This property seems to be correct, too.
