I am trying to create an Agent that uses a specific Teams group chat as knowledge.
In Copilot Studio online, there isn’t an option for me to add Teams to the knowledge section
In the desktop Copilot, I can add Teams to the knowledge but not specific chats, it is just the whole Teams.
I’ve watched some Youtube videos where a guy has been able to add specific group chats
I also tried to ask Copilot chat how to add Teams group chats in Copilot Studio and it said I need an extra license but then it’s been hard to figure out
I have the Copilot for M365 addon. Are you able to advise whether I should be able to get Teams as knowledge in Copilot studio or if I need an extra license? And, is there a way to just add specific groups/chats?
I have attached 3 x photos - showing the online copilot studio, the desktop app and the youtube video i saw where he could add individual group chats
The functionality to add individual Teams chats as knowledge is only available in the Copilot Studio Lit (Agent Builder) inside M365 Copilot. In copilot Studio you do not have this functionality.
You can not add Teams as Knowledge there but you can add the Microsoft Teams MCP Server as a tool, you might be able to get the results you be using that.
The Teams MCP should be available for use if you have a Microsoft 365 Copilot license I think, and are part of the Frontier program at Microsoft.
