Is it possible to create a new SharePoint list from within an app?

Hi All,
I'm creating an app that is meant to aid in the onboarding process of new employees.
I have created outlook tasks through powerapps but have no way of distributing the task folders from there.

Scenario: When an admin creates a new employee from within the app, I would like a sharepoint list to be created.
We need these lists to be new and seperate from one another, that way we can track each employee's onboarding progress.  Is this possible from within powerapps at the moment?
Thank you in advance for any help.

I am not aware of a way to create a list directly from PowerApps or Flow. However, if you have Azure you could be a little adventurous and create an Azure function that is triggered by an Azure Queue and then have the Azure function create the list. On PowerApps side you would use the Azure Queue data source to put the message (new user id or something unique) in the queue and that would trigger the Azure function.

Actually, there is a Connector from Plumsail that will create sites, lists, and much more.  It is by subscription, so it comes with a price tag.

However, you might want to go back and look at the need to really create new lists for each employee.  You could very easily have the tasks in one list with a column for the employee, then use filtering or views to show only for specific employees.  That would keep you from having to create new lists and manage all of them.

    Just a little add on...

Thanks @Jeff_Thorpe for the Azure functions suggestion...I like it!!

    Hi @ebDev ,

Do you want to create a new SP list within your canvas app?

I agree with @RandyHayes 's thought almost, I think the Plumsail SP connector could achieve your needs. You could use the PlumsailSP.FlowV1SharePointFlowJobsCreateListOrLibraryPost() function achieve your needs.

On your side, you need to register Plumsail SP connector firstly, you could take a try with the TRIAL license. More details abot registering Plumsail SP connector, please check the following article:

    https://plumsail.com/docs/actions/v1.x/getting-started/sign-up.html

More details about the PlumsailSP.FlowV1SharePointFlowJobsCreateListOrLibraryPost() action, please check the following article:

    https://plumsail.com/docs/actions/v1.x/flow/actions/sharepoint-processing.html#create-sharepoint-list-or-library

You could perform above function within your PowerApps. In addition, you could also consider take a try to trigger a flow (Microsoft Flow) from your app, then perform this action within your flow.

More details about actions supported within Plumsail SP connector, please check the following article:

    https://plumsail.com/docs/actions/v1.x/flow/actions/sharepoint-processing.html#microsoft-flow-actions

    Best regards,
