I get this error message "Failed to create environment for selected Teams channel.
Immediately after I login to copilot studio, I am presented with a message "To begin creating agents for Microsoft Teams, please select a team that they will be associated with."
When I do select an existing Team, I get the error message Failed to create environment for selected Teams channel. and I am unable to proceed using Copilot Studio -- cannot see "Home", "Agents" and other options column on the left
I have, in the past created multiple Agents, Prompts and Flows but hadn't logged in to this account for a few days.
What could be the possible reason why I am prompted to "select a team that they [agents] will be associated with" ?
You are being prompted to select a Team because Copilot Studio cannot find or access a valid environment for your account, so it falls back to creating a
Dataverse for Teams environment.
Since that provisioning step is failing (due to permissions, policies, or limits), you get stuck in a loop and cannot access the main UI.
The solution is to regain access to an existing environment or have your admin enable environment creation and Dataverse for Teams provisioning.
