Hello all,
This may be a silly question but I am trying anyway.
I am looking into some options for one of our workflows and triggering with flowbot may be a good option I want to explore.
So if I use List Flows command I get the following message from flowbot
I can run any flow that’s:
• triggered on a schedule
• manually triggered with no inputs
Currently there are no Flows available. Please go to Flow Portal to create your flows or learn more from our Flow Blog
But for the life of me, I can't get manually trigger to show up. Scheduled works.
Now following the Flow Blog (which is from 2018 and saying that manually triggers will come) and various forum posts I have not actually seen anyone doing this.
"The Flow integration in Teams also includes a Bot that enables you to run manual flows. Currently, this is limited to flows that run on a schedule, with support for all manual flows coming soon."
So is it still not possible to do manual triggers or am I missing something apparent that is needed (permissions, licenses etc etc)
If it is limited still to scheduled this is a no go for me at the moment
Thanks in advance!
Edit: just found another topic unanswered asking for the same thing
https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Using-Flow-Bot-with-Manual-Trigger-No-Flows-Found/td-p/628492
If this doesn't work, why does the flowbot say that it is possible to use manual trigger?
Ok so after finding yet another topic on this which actually let me drop this
https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/General-Power-Automate/Teams-Flow-Bot/td-p/498881
So the issue here is that if you use anything from the trigger message such as user email etc that is considered an "input" then the flow won't be listed / or runable from the bot conversation
This is a bit of shame for my specific use case since I need something from the message to take action on.
So for now I will use other ways to handle this like power app or similiar. But would have been nice to trigger it from the FlowBot
