Desktop flows triggering when they shouldn't

It's great that we can start desktop flows using keyboard shortcuts now. This is a feature I and several others requested shortly after Windows 11 launched, and it's nice to see someone was listening. The problem I have now is that sometimes flows start when they shouldn't. If I use the shortcut Ctrl-M to launch a music player for instance, it often runs when I simply type M. I'll be writing an e-mail, and after typing something with an M in it, I'll suddenly have music playing. This doesn't happen all the time, but often enough that I'm sure I'm not hitting Ctrl-M by mistake each time. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas about why/how this might be happening?

I haven't really been using the keyboard shortcuts to run flows, but it sounds like a bug. Are you experiencing this on a particular version of PAD, or has this been around always? Are you running on the latest version?

I would recommend reporting this to MS support, as it really sounds like a bug.

I'm currently using PAD version 2.33.96.23172, which is reported as up to date. I can't say if this happened in previous versions, since I stopped using it until learning that shortcuts were finally supported, and I'm not sure which updates, if any, have come out since I resumed using it. I think I want to wait before filing a bug report, to see if others have noticed anything similar, and to rule out possible PEBKAC issues. Thanks anyway.

2.33 is by far not the latest version. It's outdated by at least 3 major versions. See here for reference: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/released-versions/power-automate-desktop

I suggest you try updating and then seeing if it still is the case. Then, if it is, try reporting it as a bug.

Alternatively, you can test this by setting up a different shortcut combination and checking if you see the same behaviour.

That is so weird. I hit the "Check for updates" button in Settings right before posting my reply 3 days ago, and it said I was up to date. Now it confirms there's an update available, so I'll give it a try. Since this is an intermittent issue that I can't make happen on demand, it could take some time to confirm whether the update has fixed it though. Absence of a result isn't proof of absence, so I may need to monitor it for a while to be sure. Thanks again.

Well, if it still keeps happening with the latest version, I think the next step is trying to get as much details when it does occur and then reporting a support ticket.
