Missing page in app

Hello!
I've been working at an app for the last couple of days, and literally 30~ minutes ago i saved and published the page.
The page was saved several times per day, so not saving is out of the question.
Now if i try to edit the app the page is completely missing, and if i try to run the app i get the following error:

If you are the administrator, you can go to the solutions page and import a different solution.

You don’t have permissions to these records or something may be wrong with the site map. Contact your Dynamics 365 administrator. If you are the administrator, you can go to the solutions page and import a different solution.

Is this a temporary issue? The permissions didn't change, nothing actually changed, the page is just.. gone?

    Hi,

    Please follow below steps

    1) Restore the Previous Version
Power Apps creates versions when you save/publish. If the latest version is corrupted, you can restore a previous one.
    • Go to make.powerapps.com.
    • Locate your app, click the three dots (...) -> Details.
    • Click the Versions tab.
    • Find a earlier version, select it, and choose Restore.
    • Publish the restored version.

    2) Check the App Designer / Site Map
    • Open the app designer → check the sitemap/navigation
    • If the page was removed or its reference broke, it can cause exactly this behavior
    • If it's a Model-Driven app, ensure the entity/page is explicitly added to the Site Map.

    3) Permissions / Security Roles
       confirm:
    • Your security role still has access to the table/page
    • No environment-level role updates happened
    • Try accessing the page with another admin account

    4) Check Solutions
    • Navigate to Solutions
    • Look for the component (page, form, or custom page) there
    • If it’s missing, it may not have been properly saved/published into the solution
    • If you’re using managed solutions, a recent import may have overwritten it

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!

That's incredibly frustrating, especially when you know you saved it properly. This is unfortunately a known issue that pops up from time to time in Power Apps. Here are some things to try:

    Immediate checks:

First, don't panic and don't try to recreate anything yet. The page is likely still there — it's usually a sync/cache issue rather than actual data loss.

    1. Clear your browser cache and cookies for the Power Apps domain, then reopen the app in an incognito/private window. Sometimes the editor caches a stale version that conflicts with the published version.

    2. Check the app version history. Go to Power Apps portal → Apps → find your app → click the three dots → Details → Versions. You should see all your saved versions listed there. If your recent saves show up, the data isn't gone — it's a rendering/loading issue. Try restoring the most recent version.

    3. Check the solution layer. If this app is inside a Dataverse solution, go to the solution → look for your app → check if the page/screen is listed as a component. Sometimes solution imports or updates can overwrite customizations.

    If it's a Model-driven app:

That error message about "site map" and "Dynamics 365" suggests this might be a model-driven app. If so:

    • Go to your solution → open the Site Map → check if the page/sub-area is still referenced there. Sometimes the site map entry gets disconnected from the actual page even though the page still exists in the solution.

    • Check if someone published a different solution to the same environment in the last hour — that can overwrite components.

    • Look under Pages in your solution — the page might still be there but just unlinked from the site map.

    •

    If it's a Canvas app:

    • Try opening the app directly via the URL rather than through the portal.

    • Open Power Apps Studio → File → Browse → Open your app. If it opens but the screen is missing, check if the screen was accidentally moved inside a component or container.

    •

    Last resort options:

    • If you can see a healthy version in Version History, restore that version.

    • Export the app (.msapp file for canvas) from the portal — even in its current state. This gives you a backup before you try any fixes.

    • If you're in a managed environment, check with your admin whether a solution deployment happened in the last hour that could have overwritten your changes.

    •

    About the error itself:

The "don't have permissions to these records" message is often misleading — it can appear when the app tries to reference a component that it can't find (like your missing page), not necessarily because of an actual permissions change. So the error is likely a symptom of the missing page, not a separate problem.

This kind of thing usually resolves with a version restore. Definitely check that first before attempting to rebuild anything.
