If you click Update now in Teams and get “An error occurred”, the most common cause is that Teams doesn’t reliably apply agent updates for users who already installed the app. The quickest fix is to remove and reinstall the agent:
In Teams - Apps, find the agent and Uninstall/Remove it
Reinstall it from Copilot Studio - Channels - Teams and Microsoft 365 Copilot - “See agent in Teams” (or the install link)
If it still looks unchanged, sign out/in or refresh Teams (Teams caching)
If the agent is admin-approved / in the org store, changes won’t roll out until you resubmit the updated version for admin approval and ensure the app is Allowed in Teams Admin Center.
If your update changed permissions, the update can fail if user consent is blocked by Entra/tenant policy your admin should verify consent/approval settings.
If needed, a supported “refresh” workaround is: disable/re-enable the app in Teams Admin Center, then toggle the Teams channel off/on in Copilot Studio, and republish.
let me know if that answers your question / Fix the problem.
