Teams agent does not support real-time calls

I am creating an agent with Copilot as a test. It works well in chat, but when I want to go further and call it, and instead of chatting, the interaction is by phone call, it tells me: “You can't talk to the bot just yet, but we are working on it.”

This is expected behavior. The message you're seeing is correct - voice calling is not currently supported for Copilot agents (Declarative Agents or Custom Engine Agents).

Hi @MH-21011409-0,

Agent Builder does not support voice/phone calling. The error message "You can't talk to the bot just yet, but we are working on it" is misleading—it's not a feature "in development" for Agent Builder. It's a permanent architectural limitation.

You'll need to rebuild your agent in Copilot Studio (full experience) and complete the Dynamics 365 Customer Service + Azure Communication Services integration if phone calling is a requirement.
