Chart in Dashboard showing records as blank - although default value is no

Hi,

I have a two option field in my entity called Paid or Unpaid - default value set to No.

I have created a simple chart using the Paid or Unpaid for the Legend Entries(series) Count: all

For the Horizontal (Category) Axis label I've also selected the Paid or Unpaid two option field.

The chart uses a view that filters out records based on the current Year field and if another Approval Status field is set to 'Fully Received'

This view is working as it shows two records that the Approval Status is set to 'Fully Received' and current year is 2020

When adding the chart to a dashboard - none interactive' - created not at entity level, the view and chart in 'preview mode' shows correctly: a bar chart with a height of two and underneath the bar a value of  'No' is displayed above the chart's Horizontal axis of Paid or Unpaid.

However, when the dashboard is published then added to site map of my app and the app is saved and published the dashboard shows, but the chart has (blank) displaying instead of No.

When drilling down to the records it shows the two correct records with a correct Paid or Unpaid value marked as 'No'

So not really sure why the chart is showing (blank) instead of 'No'

Does anyone know why this is happening?

    Hi @Anonymous

I think you have found a bug.  I am able to recreate your issue too.  Best to raise this one with Microsoft support.

In the meantime, you could also try recreating the Paid / Unpaid field as an Optionset field (instead of Two Options) with values Paid and Unpaid.  Then create your charts off the Optionset field.

    Thanks HShield,

    will do on both fronts.

I'll post back here if I get any updates from MSO.
