I have a header table
I have a line items table has a look up to the header tables.
I have a ledger assignments table that has a lookup to a line items table and a lookup to the header table.
The form I am in is the header entity main form
I have a sub grid to the line items and a sub grid to the ledger assignments in the form
I want to make ledger assignments at the line item level. The only reason the header lookup is there is so I can show it as a sub grid in the header main form

When I click New AP Ledger Assignment the form opens is a new tab and the user has to enter the info  and save and close to get back to the main forms tab.

Is there a way when I click New AP Ledger Assignment the for the form to
- be a quick view form (I have use quick view form when avail checked in the table property OR
-  be able to add a  record inline in the editable Grid? OR
- open ./ add from a from in a section on this same header main form tab

Right now when I click New AP Ledger assignment it opens in a whole new tab. I'd want the user to say on the current tab anyway possible. The overall goal is the least amount of clicks possible

Thank you

    Hello @ctedesco3307

Yes, It's feasible you can use Quick Create Form

You need to follow below steps to enable this option for create the new form:
    • Go to the Ledger Assignments table.

    • In table properties, make sure Leverage quick-create form if available is enabled.

    • Create a new Quick Create Form from the Form section.

    • Add only the required and most important fields (for example, the Line Item lookup and any mandatory fields).

    • Publish your changes.
