    Hi @NeerajYadav

From browsing , i think you can try using python, but in python they had api request it seems which u can do via Invoke web service in PAD.

For more information, you can refer this link

    hi @NeerajYadav

    you use these two approaches.

    1) can be achieved using VBA , execute vba scripts from PAD .

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/42419486/how-to-download-a-file-from-sharepoint-with-vba

    2) use Power Automate actions, (drag the SharePoint action --> download file) and use the downloaded contents in PAD using a cloud flow.

    Thanks,

    Hi @NeerajYadav

If api available for sharepoint you can try for that method. There is no other options i think.

One option is to use URI schema.

You open the link to your file in a Browser, like the example below:

ms-excel:ofe|u|https://[add the address of your file here]/Excel_file.xlsx

This will open the file in the Excel Desktop version. From there you do a regular save as.

    Hi firmor,

I'm trying to do a similar thing.  I couldn't get that to work.  Is this limited to SharePoint?  I'm trying to download a file from OneDrive to save to our network.

Both SharePoint and OneDrive now have connectors in Power Automate Desktop that allow downloading files. You do need to have a paid license and set up a connection in the cloud flows. But once you have that, it is fairly simple to use the related actions.
