Power App connector can not switch the outlook account

Hello,

In the Power App connector, we can not switch the outlook account.
Even we click to switch account and enter the corresponding account, it still login the app solution upload owner.
At first, we thought it wat the single-sign-on set by the group policy, however we try it on other computers, that still can not switch outlook account in connector.
We also tried it to clear browser cookie and run in the browser incognito mode, but still can not switch.
Please support what's the reason for this?

It appears that Power Apps currently does not fully support switching Outlook accounts inside the Outlook connector, even after selecting Switch account. This behavior usually happens because:

    • The connector uses the cached Azure AD login associated with the environment/app owner.
    • Power Apps often forces the connector to reuse the current session token, even in Incognito mode or after clearing cookies.
This is a known limitation of the Outlook (Office 365) connector.
To use another Outlook account, the recommended workaround is:
    1. Create a new browser profile (Edge/Chrome profile) and log in only with the target account.
    2. Or use a separate environment where the connector is created under the required account.
    3. Ensure the user has the correct license and permissions for Outlook in that environment.

In Microsoft Power Apps / Microsoft Power Automate, you cannot switch Outlook accounts via the login prompt because:
    • The app/flow uses a saved connection, not your current browser session.
    Key points
    • Connections are stored at environment level
    • They are tied to a specific account (owner)
Clearing cache, incognito, or different machines , won’t help

    Correct fix
    Create a new Outlook connection
Update connection reference / flow / app to use it

    Thanks

Clariftying this a bit further, all connections when a user runs Power Apps are authenticated in the context of the logged-in user. There are a number of reasons for this, in particular, the user's licence for the relevant connector needs to be authenticated when they first log in (in this case that they have a licence for Outlook and can therefore send an email - or whatever the App is doing in Outlook).

If you simply want emails sent from another account, then give all relevant users Send Delegation for the target account's mailbox and use the Send As parameter in the send code (I can outline the code for this if required).

Another option is to send the email with a Flow and then set the Run only users to use the relevant connection.

    Hello,

Another question: Does the email target account need Power app license or flow license?

It needs an Office365 Outlook licence (basically a standard O365 licence)  so the Outlook connection can be validated. Also the user that is running the Power App  or (if different in the Flow using Run only user ), needs Send Delegation is the target Outlook mailbox.
