Hi!
Is it possible to use Generative Answers in Europe and dissallow data movement outside of Europe?
I read the documentation but it was confusing. In the documentation it is stated that:
Accessing Copilot Studio generative AI features from regions outside the United States, **results in data movement across regional boundaries**. Once enabled, any data movement that occured while this feature was enabled cannot be reversed by removing your consent.
Data from Copilot Studio generative AI features in the Europe, Switzerland, and France geographies are handled by the underlying infrastructure hosted in the Sweden or Switzerland regions. Features powered by Bing are separately governed by the Microsoft Services Agreement and Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Got this from here:
So the first chapter says that using Generative Answers WILL result in data movements to outside of Europe. But the second chapter says that in Europe Copilot Studio will use infrastructure (which I guess it Azure OpenAI) in Sweden or Swizerland.
It's quite confusing.
I'm not seeing any contradiction - the table specifies exactly when data movement across regions should be expected.
