    First, convert text to datetime using custom format h:mm; this will be a datetime variable

     

    then using the variable you just made, convert datetime to text using custom format hh:mm

    You can't convert directly from text format to custom date format.

    If you get data from excel and it is returned as text, then you convert that to date format, after that you can convert that date format to custom text format hh:mm.
