Edit/Publish buttons overlapping screen size selector in Preview mode

(1) ShareShare

Has anyone else run into an issue with the new Studio UI where the Edit and Publish buttons overlap the screen size selector when using Preview mode?

On larger screens with a mouse, it’s possible to hit a small gap below the buttons to access the dropdown — but on a laptop using a touchpad, it’s extremely difficult (almost impossible) to select

Just checking if others are seeing the same behaviour, or if there’s a workaround I’ve missed?

Check if the cookies are disabled and also check your browser zoom settings

Which browser are you using? Try a different browser as well.

I would recommend rais a support ticket also , you can raise ticket if you have development enviornment , Go to power platform admin center to raise ticket

the issue persists after adjusting zoom and display scaling, consider submitting feedback through:
    • Power Apps Studio → Settings → Feedback
or opening a support ticket with Microsoft. Including screenshots, browser version, screen resolution, and display scaling settings will help Microsoft reproduce

    and prioritize the issue.

In the meantime, reducing browser zoom to 90–100% and maximizing the Studio window are the workarounds that have been most successful for other makers

    experiencing similar behavior.

Try setting your browser zoom to 90% (Ctrl + minus). The new Power Apps Studio UI has some responsive layout issues at certain zoom levels and screen resolutions that cause elements to overlap. Dropping zoom one level usually gives enough spacing to access the screen size dropdown comfortably on a touchpad.

If the zoom workaround doesn't help, right-click the screen size selector area in the browser and use Inspect to select the dropdown element directly and trigger a click via console. Not elegant but works in a pinch.

Report it at https://aka.ms/powerappsfeedback with a screenshot and your screen resolution this kind of UI overlap is fixable quickly if the team can reproduce it.

Zoom isn't the issue, the new UI buttons position is set to the same spot, i.e. over the selector buttons on any zoom.
The only way to move them is to change from showing as "Window Size" to some other preview resolution, e.g. phone, but that means being able to select one in the first place.
I may need to send to MS direct.

    Hi @Rob_wn,

thanks for the quick reply, If the buttons are hardcoded over the selector regardless of zoom, that's a proper UI bug.

Try pressing Tab when the preview area is focused to cycle through the UI elements and see if you can reach the screen size selector via keyboard. That might get you to a different preset without needing to click.

Best thing at this point is to report it directly at https://aka.ms/powerappsfeedback with a screenshot showing the overlap and your screen resolution. Mention it's consistent across zoom levels, that detail will help the team reproduce it faster.
