Hi Team,

My client has a requirement where he needs static URLs of the App, as they don't want to change it often it seems. Is this really Possible, because as per my knowledge, whenever the environment changes URLs too will change right. please let me know how I can proceed further on this. Is there any way we can achieve this or how is it. please clarify. Thank you.

Regards
Venu K

If I am understanding you correctly, you are referring to the different URL a Power App will have if copied to another environment ? The environment is actually part of the URL, so it will always be different.

The best I can think of to do what you want would be to have a web redirect somewhere and update it to reflect the URL you want to present, or a very clunky alternative of changing the OnStart of the changed app to launch the new one - the user would see two apps launched and have two tabs to close both at the end (and you would need a new landing screen on the original to avoid confusion). You could add Exit() after the launch code on the first, but this then takes the user back to the Make screen (not ideal) on the first original tab, so in short a seperate web redirect would probably be best.

Power Apps cannot keep a static URL across environments because App ID + Environment ID change after migration.

Static URL works only if you keep updating the same app in the same environment.

    ✔ Alternative

If you have Environment A and Environment B:

    1. You migrated the app from A → B, so B has a new URL.

    2. In the old App in Environment A, add a Launch () formula → redirect to B’s URL:
    Launch("https://apps.powerapps.com/play/appID-envB")

Now anyone using the old link (Env A) will automatically open the new app (Env B).

This gives users a smooth transition even when URLs change.

Further to the above you should try to investigate why the client needs static URLs.

If it is because they want to create links to their apps through bookmarks or icons (similar to what is done for desktop apps) you could encourage them to maintain the links on a SharePoint page or whatever internal portal they use.
