Highlight selected environment more prominently

hi,

I daily have to make adjustments on make.powerapps.com for our customers and its not the first time that the wrong (Prod) environment was selected by default.

Its always frustrating to realize that after I created new solutions f.e.

Is there a way to highlight the current environment more prominently?

Or to notify me on startup that the prod-environment is selected?

I know there are some addons for the browser that can check the URL to create banner at the corners of the page but I would prefer a build-in solution.

Hi Tobias,

I am not sure if you can set which environment to show once you open PowerApps, but these thing could help:

You should always use managed solution in production environments, that will ensure that you will not be able to edit the App in PROD env.

What I like to do, is to place a label with the name of the environment name so it is visible directly in the app. I use environment variables to show it, so I do not have to touch the app, when it is in the production. Sometimes I use visibility property to show it just for me, but usually I let it visible even for the users, so they know in which version they are.

I would explore browser tab groups. Name your tab groups after your environment name and then you can easily navigate to different groups to go to different environments. Helps me get organized when I have several tabs under different environments.
