Hello Guru !

I want to know if I can use dataverse ( Data Type : File ) with Power automate to send an email with attachment ?

GOAL :

I upload a file into Dataverse, the power automate triggers and send an email with the attachment  to Mr X ?

If yes, can you guide me ?

I also understand that there is a limitation to like 1 attachment... ( Might not be the good solution but I'm very curious into the question )

    Hi @Anonymous

Please have  a look at my video tutorial. You may need to change the trigger accordingly.

    Hi @Anonymous

Please ignore my earlier reply I have realised that you were asking the file type instead of notes.

    Thanks

    Hi @Anonymous :

Do you want to send a file as an attachment to someone after it has been uploaded to the File field of a table in the dataverse ?

If so , you could use 'Download a file or an image' to get the file content and then sand an email. But there is a difficulty, that is, flow cannot directly obtain the file name of the file in the file type field, so the created attachment cannot get the correct suffix dynamically. In order to solve this problem, my suggestion is to add a text type file name field.

Here's a thread describing the problem and offering a workaround:(Flow to download file from dataverse record and send as email attachment).

    Here is my flow:
