Where are flows stored?

Hello!

I am a beginner.

I can't connect to my desktop from Cloud Flow, so I'm thinking about deleting it and reinstalling it.

In this case, I don't want to lose the flows I've already created on my desktop.

Where are flows created on the desktop saved?

Can I backup this and restore it after reinstalling?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Ko_san ,

Flows are cached here: C:\Users\{UserID}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power Automate Desktop\Console\Workspace

Here's the best answer to your question:

Solved: Power Automate Desktop save location - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

For your question about connecting to your desktop flow from Cloud - you do need a premium license to do that, and you also can't do this from Windows 10/11 home editions ~ I don't recommend deleting any flows, that will not resolve your connection challenges.

Do you have a Power Automate Premium license? It is needed to connect your Power Automate cloud portal to the desktop app. If you do have it, your flows are stored in the cloud and you should be able to see them there. Even if you lose your machine, they are there. But if you do not have it, reinstalling PAD will not help anyway.

Unfortunately, the folder that @trice602  told me was empty.
I'll look for it some more.

My license is Power Automate Free, so I found out that I can't connect Cloud Flow to my desktop.

I'm currently studying the Microsoft Learning Pass, which includes a section on connecting Cloud Flow to your desktop.

I'm still learning, so I can't switch to a paid premium license (I use Windows 11 Pro & Microsoft365 Business Standard).

I'll look into what I can do with a free license.
    Thank you for your cooperation.

Well then, there is no point for you to re-install PAD then, as that will not change the fact you cannot connect your desktop flows to the cloud portal. That's a licensing issue, and not an installation/application issue.

In any case, the flows will still be stored online in general. I haven't personally tried it myself with a free account, but I would assume that if you logged in with the same account to an instance of PAD on a different machine, you would have access to your flows. They should be tied to your account and not a specific machine.
