sharing table/updating permissions

Hi,
I'm rather new to dataverse and have built a power app that is connected to three custom dataverse tables.
Now, if I share the app with users, they can play the app but can't view the data coming from the tables. I can't see any button to update permissions in the table overview like I could do e.g. in sharepoint.

Searching in google either says that permissions from the table should be updated automatically when sharing the associated app or something rather complicated in the admin center, which I'd obviously need admin rights for (which I don't have).

Could somebody please shed some light on that topic?
Thanks in advance!

you can add a security role in your app. Go home in your data verse where you can see all your apps, select your app and in more option you select security roles.

Powerapps is an app building platform which allows to connect to any data source, including Dataverse, but building an app doesn't automatically give permissions on the underlying data source, that's the responsibility of the maker, so you've to plan for giving the users read/write permissions in Dataverse separately, easiest way is using a security role.

Thanks to both of you for answering.

I found the option to assign a security role to specific members, but there is no explanation which role has which rights.
Where can I find that? And do I need to create a new one specific for that custom tables I use, or are they include in any other roles? Or are there ways to give permissions without using a role?

Also, the app is a canvas app, not a model-driven one. Does that make any differences?

Yes, you need to create a custom security role and define which table has which permissions at what level. you should go through this article to have a comprehensive understanding.
