Does Power Virtual Agents leverage SharePoint to import or read content in a document library? The idea is to create a QnA chatbot able to read the content from a SPO document library or eventually add a link to it.
That list must be publicly visible for suggesting topics to work
will PVA suggest a topic from a sharepoint online page or sharepoint online list? So i have create a page with questions (H1) and answers (normal text) will that work? Can PVA crawl a sharepoint online page or can it only get topics from public websites?
You can see a more detailed description of the topic suggestions feature referenced above incl. the format here:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-virtual-agents/advanced-create-topics-from-web
This is optimized for FAQ and support pages. What is the scenario you want to enable with extraction of SharePoint content?
Thanks
Michael
Hi Joe
We are looking for anything that looks like a question / answer pair on the webpage, or a title & description. If a title and description paragraph we’ll map the title to the question (i.e., trigger) and the paragraph to the answer.
We tend to err on the generous side, meaning if you pointed us at a web page we’re going to try to pull in.
Thanks
Emma
Hey Emma, can you share what the format of the FAQ page will need to be for that feature?
Thanks!
Joe
Joe - I'd have to disagree there 😊 PVA will support the ability to point at an FAQ on a webpage and bring in those question answer pairs to create simple topic dialogs in PVA. This suggestions feature will be available in a couple of weeks.
One of the strengths of PVA is not only do we support those simply single-turn conversations (question and answer), but we handle the complex multi-turn conversations.
Thanks
Emma
Hi,
If you are looking for a QandA type bot then you may be better going with Azure QnA maker rather than Virtual Agent.
VA is for more clearly defined conversation where you guide your customer to a resolution.
You could combines the two and if your VA Topic cannot resolve the conversation then use Flow to do a Rest call to QnA via Flow
Joe
You can leverage SharePoint and the other 200+ connectors through Flow.
