PAD save as option

When I choose the "save as" option when editing a flow it doesn't work. The new file does not show in "My Flows" then the old flow can't be edited.  This is the second time this has happened and I have not found other post about this issue.

I have checked C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power Automate Desktop\Console

I don't fully understand what I'm supposed to find there. I don't see any files with my flows names.

My flow was working great I was wanting to make a copy to change one input for a different process.  Any help would be great.

Thank you in advance.

    Hi @cbounds

Flows aren't stored locally. But you can check PAD logs at "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Power Automate Desktop\Logs" to see what happened.

The interface doesn't reload when you do a "save as", quit PAD and launch it again and the flow will be present. It's annoying 🙂

This happens to me every time I try to copy an entire flow.  Before attempting to copy the flow, make sure your old flow is saved.  Then, do the file save as.  It works like you intended.  Then, close all Power Automate Windows.  Then, CTRL+Alt+Delete and go to Task Manager.  There will still be a Power Automate Desktop process running in the background.  Right click -> End Task.  Now re-open Power Automate and both your old and new flows will be on your dashboard.

    WOOOOOOOOOW You saved my day

I have been working on a flow for 3 days. I never closed PAD nor my Windows session. I always put my computer to sleep.

I first started to work on a test flow and the did a SAVE AS and continued working in that new version for 3 days.

Today I closed PAD completly and when I restarted PAD my SAVE AS flow was not there.

    I was paniquing !!!

    I did as mentioned here,

I first kill just the one named "Power Automate Desktop" and started PAD but my flow were still not there.

    Then I really panicked.

Then I saw that there were 2 additionnal PAD tasks.

After killing all 3 tasks and starting PAD all my SAVE AS flows were there.

    THANK YOU SO MUCH

kill all Power Automate Desktop task (there were 3 tasks)
