Error when trying to connect to a word template on SharePoint site

The dynamic operation request to API 'wordonlinebusiness' operation 'GetFileSchema' failed with status code 'BadRequest'. This may indicate invalid input parameters. All right, Is the issue SharePoint or do I need to remake my word template?

    Hi David,

    Your input site location cannot be recognized as below parameters. Would you check why you cannot find this sharepoint site from connector drop down list first?

    I checked and the SharePoint site isn't showing in the drop-down. I can put in the site location and it can find the file but I get the error that I listed in the original post. When I point it to a copy on my dev team site it reads the template without issue.

    what the issue turned out to be was that I have an admin account and a user account in azure AD. The permissions and licensing was miss applied
