I used TreeSize to find out where all my disk space went on my PC since my PAD processes started crashing due to a full hard drive.

Of my 394 GB SDD, a whopping 271 GB is being used by 3 days of logs in the ProgramData\Microsoft\Power Automate\Logs directory!

Anyone find a solution for this problem? I saw another thread about logs building up in the AppData directory, but this is a different problem.

I don’t necessarily have a solution, but thanks for the heads up. I’ve been having storage issues since I started a bot that runs 24/7 5 days a week and I didn’t know what was causing it.

if this is the case, I would build in, at least to my bot, a check on this file size and come up with a way to open it and cut it down. I wonder if there could be some setting to limit the number of days or size limit it keeps.

Well, PAD was busy last night, and now the logs are up to 295 GB!

I am on a physical machine. Imagine if I was paying the high price for storage on a virtual in Azure.

Microsoft needs to fix this instead of me making a process to delete the log files hopefully without bombing the automations. I'll open up a ticket.

Just as an FYI, there are over 150,000 log files in that one directory.

Can someone else do a quick check and let us know how big that directory is on your machine?

FYI, I found this thread with the sale problem from over a month ago:

It shows as solved, but there's no confirmation of a solution from Microsoft, and no details on their temporary workaround of how to automatically delete the files.

Thank you for your reply. What is the latest release number?

I am on 2.25.72.22312, and it says I have the latest version when I try to update, but I still have the log problem.

The latest version is 2.26. You should be getting an update notification by Friday, or if you want you can download the latest version from the portal directly (My flows -> Install)

Thanks Kostasc.

I installed the 2.26 version, deleted all the log files that were not locked and in use, and we'll see how it goes.

How big should the folder get? After deleting all the unlocked log files, I still have over 12,000 log files and 23+ GB of log data. That seems excessive.

Even with the new version, the log files are still increasing at an alarming rate. In just 7 mins, it went up 100 MB and 14 files. I don't think you guys fixed the problem. Did you even test it?

I take back all the horrible things I said. PAD finally cleaned up its log files overnight. The folder size dropped from 24 GB to just 500 MB. The file count also dropped from 12K to under 1K.

That's more like it!
