Sharing the Power Automate Desktop connection when distributing the app?

Dear Power Platform Community,

I have created an app using Power Apps and would now like to share it with other individuals within the company.

When someone wants to open the app, connections need to be added.

I am particularly concerned about the connection to Power Automate Desktop,

as I do not want to share login credentials for this device.

How can I avoid the necessity of establishing these connections?

Greetings,

Mirco

    Hi @Joga19Bonito ,

When a Flow is triggered by Power Apps, all connections by default are those of the logged-in user, which is why on first run of the app, they are asked to verify the connections (essentially do they have the correct licence). If you use the Power Apps V2 trigger, you can go a step further and configure the Run only users section (at bottom right in the Flow properties) and set this to be run by the creator of the connection on the Flow. When you do this, users of Power Apps are not asked to create a connection for this item.

    Hi @WarrenBelz,

thank you for your message and the potential solution. Unfortunately, the issue still persists. The user who is now listed under 'Run only user' and has been assigned the setting 'Access to this connection is provided by the flow owner' is still being prompted to establish a connection for the Power Automate Desktop area (including computer access). Where could the problem be originating from? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Hi @Joga19Bonito ,

You need to do this to the Flow before you attach it to Power Apps and the Run Only User needs to be the Flow Owner. You may have to restore the version of Power Apps before the Flow was attached, ensure the Run Only setting is correct and then attach the Flow again.
