Hi All

I have been struggling for a few weeks (Not full time) trying to create a writeback PowerApps to Power BI.

But cant get through the first phase of drawing data from Power BI into the PowerApps Power Bi Integration.

Below are the steps i am taking

1 Add the PowerApps to Dashboard

2) Add field from Table

5) Click "OK" to open Power Apps through URL

6) Click "Skip"

7) Power Bi Integration within PowerApps does not connect to source data from Power Bi

I have tried various methods to connect the data but this has all been futile, i have watched endless video's but cant find one that addresses this specific problem.

When i view the videos the connection appears established already by default.

How can i do the same?

Appreciate you guys alot, especially for the time you must spend answering simple issues such as this.

Regards

Carl

    Hi , @Carl143

Your step seems has no problem. And you can try to open the Power App link from Power BI Service.

And you can see the data here:

    'PowerBIIntegration'.Data

And this is my Power Bi Service:

    Hi , @Carl143

Thanks for your response! As searched:

Power Apps in Power BI Desktop provides data to Power Apps Studio when creating apps but not while editing. Use Power BI Web to preview the data while editing apps.

So can you try to publish your report to Power BI Service and then re-create the Power App visual in the website instead of creating the Power App visual in your Power BI Desktop.

And for more information, you can refer to :
Power Apps visual for Power BI - Power Apps | Microsoft Learn

Embed a new Power App in a Power BI Report. - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

    Best Regards,

    Yueyun Zhang
