Access to an APP to external users and modify SP list without permissions

Hi

I have to share an APP that when clicking a button, it modifies an item on a list in SharePoint.
The thing is that they are external and dont really know how they could open the app or modify the list without given them access previously.
Is it possible to be able to modify the list or open the app without giving access?

Thanks!

Microsoft Power Apps + SharePoint, the users must have access to both the app and the data source to open the app and modify list items without both access they cannot do anything.

Even though there is external user they needs to be Tenant (Guest Users)

Share App + Limited SharePoint Access (Best Practice) - cleanest and most common approach.
    • Share the Power App with external users / group which you created.
    • Grant minimal permissions on the SharePoint list
      • Contribute or even custom permission level
      • Note
        • Disable list visibility
        • Remove access to the site pages
    Detailed Implementation

    Short answer: No.
Users cannot open an app or modify a SharePoint list unless they have some level of access. Both Microsoft Power Apps and Microsoft SharePoint enforce security permissions. However, there are several safe ways to allow external users to use the app without directly giving them list permissions.

I will add a couple of things here that may assist - firstly, please have a read of this blog of mine around locking down a SharePoint List.

This may not be what you need, so in addition / instead, create a new SharePoint Custom Permission Level based on Contribute, but with View Application Pages  unchecked and give your extrenal users this permission level for the relevant List/s. This should preclude these users being able to vew the list in SharePoint. Also (refer this video), you can hide the list from being searched for.
