Unable to load Tools Page

I've tried multiple browsers, different accounts, and more, and have been unable to load the Tools page in Copilot Studio. I want to add a new Tool, and create a new Agent that uses the Tool (MCP Server connection), but I've been unable to load the tools page because all I can see is:

Something went wrong.

Try reloading the page. If the problem persists, contact your admin.

I have admin access to our Microsoft Workspace (with our domain), but still unable to do anything here. What am I missing?

Thanks.

    Hi!
Here's a checklist to work through:

    1. Enable Generative Orchestration – This is required for the Tools page and MCP features to work. Go to your agent → Settings → Generative AI → turn on Generative orchestration.

    2. Allow cross-region data movement – If this is disabled on your environment, all generative AI features (including Tools) will be unavailable. Fix it in Power Platform Admin Center → select your environment → Generative AI features → Edit → enable Move data across regions → Save.

    3. Check your environment-level role – Having Microsoft 365 admin rights is not enough on its own. Make sure your account has the System Administrator or Environment Maker role on the specific environment in Power Platform Admin Center.

    4. Clear browser cache / try Incognito – Rule out browser-side issues by testing in a private window or a different browser.
If none of the above helps, open a Microsoft Support ticket and include your Tenant ID (from Microsoft Entra Admin Center) and Environment ID (from Power Platform Admin Center → Environments) to speed up the investigation.

    Hope this helps!
    Paolo

    Hi @CU04021341-1,

This usually happens due to environment/permission or service-side issues, not because of anything you’re missing in the setup.

A few things you can try:

    • Check that you’re in the correct environment with Copilot Studio enabled (some environments don’t support Tools/MCP yet)

    • Ask your admin to confirm you have the required roles (e.g., Environment Maker / System Administrator)

    • Try switching environments or creating a new test environment and open Tools there

    • Also check if there is any service issue or partial outage, as the “Something went wrong” page is commonly seen during backend issues

    • Try using incognito mode.

If it still doesn’t load even in a new environment with proper permissions, it’s likely a tenant-level or service issue, and raising a Microsoft support ticket would be the next step.

    Hope this helps,
