How to refresh a modern table after editing records?

Hi everyone,

I'm working with a modern table in Power Apps, and I'm running into an issue: after editing a record (via a form or gallery), the modern table doesn't reflect the changes automatically.

I've tried refreshing my data source without success. Only works when I navigating away and back to the screen.

Has anyone found a reliable way to force a modern table to refresh or reload its data after updates?

Thanks in advance!

I have the same question (0)

Reset(controlname) should force it to reload from the data source.

Unfortunately, the Reset() function doesn't seem to work with modern tables — Power Apps returns an error saying the control is not resettable. I tested it and got the message: "The function expects a resettable control as its input."

Another alternative is to use Refresh(datasourcename) for the data source behind the control.  Reset() normally works faster, but either will do the trick.  I just tested it and refreshing the Data Source will work with the modern table.

Hi Paul, thanks again for your input.

I just recorded a video showing that it's still not working in my case. After submitting the data, I’m explicitly calling Refresh() on the data source, and I also trigger the "Clear" button, which itself includes a Refresh() and resets all relevant controls.

Despite that, the modern table doesn't update, and the previous selection remains visible even after the data changes.

Any ideas on what else could help force the refresh properly?

    Thanks!!

Try removing the Concurrent(). Using that means the Refresh is probably happening before the data source is updated.  You need the Refresh to happen after you do the update so it reapplies the defaults for the Table with the updated data source.

Also, are you updating the records in the data source behind the table or just in the table itself?  Refresh will reapply the default items you set for the table, so if you edit the record locally and don't save it to the data source then refresh isn't going to help.

Paul, removing the concurrent function works after 2° modification... I imagine this is because the cache. Is there any solution for this?

    THANKS!!

Sorry, but I'm not sure what your question is.  If you use Concurrent then all the statements are executed at the same time. That means there is no order so if any of the statements depend on previous statements you will probably get corrupted results.  Please explain your question a bit more and I'll try to give you an answer.
