AI Agent for Congested Diaries

I've used copilot to help design the AI agent, to look for the least worst option to align availability.  I then go to use it and it says it cannot see the diaries, but I have full access to them.   Why does this not work?  I thought it could see everything I could see.  Finding so many instances where it's supposed to work but just doesn't.

    Hi

It’s not broken, this is how it is designed. This is a really common misunderstanding with Copilot Studio and agents.

Even though you can see the calendars, the AI agent can’t automatically see them. It doesn’t share your access or permissions.

The agent only knows what you connect to it (like Outlook or Microsoft Graph), or give it (like what you paste or connected Knowledge sources).
Right now, your agent has no connection to the calendars, so it asks you to paste the availability instead.

To fix it, you need to connect the agent to Outlook (Office 365 connector), or use Microsoft Graph to pull calendar data.

Once you do that, it will be able to see availability and help properly.

Let me know if you need help with that.

    Hope it helps!

Hi Chiaraalina, thank you for this, after significant digging I found this out.  However, this is no OUT for me as I'm on a NHS tenant which will never allow access as far as I am aware.  Given the diaries are back to back, having the heavy workload done to offer solutions to what could move would have been heaven.  Back to to sloped desk and quill pen!   It is amazing that Microsoft thinks that Execs organise their own diaries, even in this day and age!
