I am trying to generate a form that one department can use to notify a team of an event that they need to react to.
I need it to generate an email; to that team whilst also populating a team activity recording spreadsheet to give us a data set we can then add our actions to.
Yes, you're in the right place and yes, Power Automate can help with that.
Here's a rough sketch of what the flow could look like (there are loads of different ways to approach any specific challenge):
Trigger would be from MS Forms, when a new response is submitted.
Follow up action from MS Forms to get response details.
Next action would be to send an email from whatever service provider you use (Office 365 Outlook is typical)
And finally you can use the MS Excel for Business connector to add a row to a table (presuming your team activity spreadsheet is in Excel, and is formatted as a table).
