Excel Table Not Recognized for Data Extraction (Uploaded to SharePoint)

Hi everyone,

I'm setting up a Power Automate flow to extract data from an Excel table when users upload the file to a SharePoint site. The goal is to have users upload an Excel file with the same name and structure each time. The table inside the Excel file will always have the same name, making the process consistent. However, I'm encountering an issue where the table isn't recognized in the flow

Goal:
Extract data from the Excel table every time the file is uploaded or modified. The table name and file name are always consistent.

Questions:
  1. How can I prevent the flow from breaking when the Excel file is updated or deleted and re-uploaded?
  2. Is there a way to dynamically reference the table so Power Automate detects it even after file updates?
  3. Are there alternative approaches or triggers to handle Excel data extraction more reliably?

Flow Breakdown:

Trigger – When an item or file is modified
Site Address: SP site
List or Library Name: Documents
Folder: /Shared Documents/General (I’ve ensured the path is correct – using the default "Shared Documents" with spaces)

Action – Get file content
Site Address: SP site
File Identifier: I’m selecting Identifier from dynamic content to avoid manual entry and syntax errors.

Action – List rows present in a table
Location: SP site
File: (Selecting the output from "Get file content")
Table Name: [TableName] (The table exists in the Excel file and is always named the same)
Issue:

Table Not Recognized – In the List rows present in a table step, Power Automate often doesn’t detect the table, even though it exists and has the correct name. This causes the flow to fail.

is there an alternative of this? I have tried using lists rows present in a table querying directly the excel file  directly but when it's deleted or replaced, the flow will stop

    You need to update the content of the existing file as the link / connection to the Excel file is not on the name, but on the SharePoint internal File Identifier. This link can only be established in the Flow Edit function. Also you need to ensure that all data is inside the Table.

    The other option you have is to save the Excel file as a CSV and import it as per this video. You can also upload the file from an attachment control in Power Apps (the code below is from one of my prod apps where acBankCSV is the attachment control)
    ImportCreditCardCSV.Run(
       {
          file:
          {
             contentBytes: First(acBankCSV.Attachments).Value,
             name: First(acBankCSV.Attachments).Name
          }
       }
    )

    The start of the Flow looks like this - you can get the rest from the video
