Canvas App Out of Dataverse

Hi,
I have to add features to an existing Canvas Power App in an environment of production.
I've created a sandbox environment, in which I've restored a backup of the production one.
Now I'm trying to transport the Canvas app in the sandbox environment using a solution,
but I've read that this operation makes the app move form 'Out of Dataverse' to 'From Dataverse'.
Is there any problem in this transformation?
Is this the correct way to have the app in sandbox and then to reapply the changes to production?

Thank you in advance

    Can you try the following

    • Create a new Solution the source environment
      • Add the related component
        • Flows
        • Dataverse Tables
        • Connectons
        • Environment Variables
        • etc
Now try to move to achieve the same

In answer to this question, 'Out of Dataverse' means that the app is stored in the Azure Blob storage that backs the environment, not inside a Dataverse solution. This is the default for apps created directly in the Maker portal.

'From Dataverse' means the app is stored as a Dataverse solution component. When adding a canvas app to a solution, Power Apps must convert it to a Dataverse backed component so it can be transported between environments.

Therefore, 'Out of Dataverse' and 'From Dataverse' is just a storage classification and moving an app from 'Out of Dataverse' to 'From Dataverse' will not cause any problems.

To clarify your remaining steps after restoring your production environment to a sandbox, this is what you would do.

    - In the production environment, create new solution and add the canvas app .
    - Export this solution from production.
    - Import it into your sandbox environment.
    - Make changes to your canvas app.
    - Export the updated solution from sandbox.
    - Import it back into production.
