UI Elements with dynamic names - trouble using "contains" or "starts with"

I have been successful in using UI Elements that I have modified the name or id to identify the element as "containing" or "starts with".  Most recently, I have tried to identify UI (web) elements using this and they cannot be found.  I noticed that the syntax is not changing after checking the box with "contains" or "starts-with".

Can someone either shed some light on what I'm doing wrong or tell me the syntax for textarea[id:contains("MailingAddress")]?

    Hi @dashort 

     

    I noticed you changed the body id but you want to change the textarea id. Please select (highlight) the textarea element in the left panel and then try editing the value.
