Let's say I have an Instant Flow with a Power Automate Per Flow plan assigned to it.
The Flow uses a Premium connector.
The Flow's trigger is PowerApps.
Do I need a Power Apps Per User/Per App license additionally to be able to execute the Flow from a button in the app?
Because it seems like I can execute the flow from the details view of the Flow in Power Automate website using the "Run" button,
but when I try to launch an app which has the flow in it, I am welcomed with a popup saying I'm missing licenses...
and I'm wondering if this is how it should be or if something isn't working properly...
Thanks
Reading through the licensing guide, it addresses this scenario. However, it says the app needs a Per User/Per App license and the flow doesn't need licensing as long as its only used in the context of the app. I do not see anything about using the app and licensing the flow.
Power Automate use rights included with Power Apps licenses
Power Apps licenses (the Power Apps per app plan, the Power Apps per user plan and the Power Apps
pay-as-you-go plan) include Power Automate use rights for the purpose of automating workflows
associated with the Power Apps application(s).
Power Automate use within Power Apps is limited to the context of the Power Apps application. What this
means is that for both triggers and actions, flows included within a Power Apps application can connect
to:
• Any data source within the use rights of the Power Apps application
• Directly with the Power Apps application (via built in trigger/action)
If the flow is isolated and has nothing to do with the Power Apps application, then standalone Power
Automate licenses will need to be purchased.
